I’m taking life one scone at a time

I went to Morocco again this past Easter, and that country gets better and better each time I go. Compared to how I felt last year when I went, I had a very different perspective. I arrived exhausted, could hardly speak, and was in one of those moods where I could lay in bed and stare at the wall all day. Work had taken its toll, and I desperately needed to shut off. I met my friend near Agadir, and we made our way to the tiny, desolate village of Imsouane. I had never been to a place like that; there were wild dogs everywhere and an adorable puppy gang we just had to pet every time we walked by, and absolutely nothing to do but surf and eat. There was even a point when a man herded a pack of sheep and goats through the village. I loved every minute of it. The best part was going to bed with just the sound of the ocean and the comfort of knowing I would wake up the next day with absolutely no plans.

Luckily, I brought my favorite film camera. I thought I’d try black and white since I really had no choice when I bought the film since I thought it was color. So let me tell you what I really thought of Imsouane: I loved the vibes there. It was the ultimate surfer town, since that’s all anyone did there and the only thing to do.
